Joseph Pilates

Joseph Pilates (1883-1967) was passionate about health.

He was a boxer and a gymnast, committed to creating a system of movement that would support these activities.

He recognised the necessity of cross training- creating balance in the body through mindful movement.

He primarily trained dancers and boxers, to enhance their performance and prevent injury.

The Pilates method is now recognised all around the world for its restorative and rehabilitative properties.

Based on 6 key principles : Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath & Flow.
